ComSpor Joins the 5 Communities, 5 Weeks Project

As part of the 5 Communities 5 Weeks challenge, I am excited to introduce ComSpor, a community dedicated to deep sports analysis, industry insights, and thought-provoking discussions. This project is particularly close to my heart, and as I built it, I found myself fully immersed in the content.

Sports marketing has been a passion of mine since 1999! It all started with my second-ever job, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on major sponsorships in the industry. During my time at Entain, with Sportingbet and bwin, I collaborated on partnerships with Atlético de Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, the Basketball EuroLeague, the Copa Libertadores and even the legendary betandwin.com sponsorship of the Portuguese League in 2006! From football to basketball to MMA, I’ve seen firsthand how marketing shapes the sports landscape, and it’s a world I’m still deeply invested in today.

We have already launched some incredible articles, covering topics such as DAZN’s rise in sports broadcasting, the global influence of the City Group, and Nike’s legendary ‘Just Do It’ campaign. The depth and storytelling in these pieces make them more than just sports news—they capture the strategy and business behind the game.

But beyond the articles, I’ve found myself surprisingly drawn to the AI-generated podcasts. I know they are fully AI-driven, yet the discussions have been genuinely engaging. The first two episodes are already out:

I’ve always been inspired by Shoe Dog and Let My People Go Surfing, two books that shaped my view on business, branding, and purpose-driven entrepreneurship. Seeing these themes reflected in our podcasts has been a unique experience.
